Waianae

Kenyon Energy developed this solar project in conjunction with Blue Earth, Inc. in Waianae, HI on the island of Oahu. The project interconnects into the HECO (Hawaiian Electric Company) distribution grid and will sell power to the utility under a 20 year PPA/FIT agreement. The project consists of 1,780 – 280W solar modules and 4 – 100KW central inverters. This project commenced commercial operations in October 2014.

Role: Developer, Owner-Operator

Blue Sky

Kenyon Energy was chosen to develop this large-scale 1.5MW facility, known as Blue Sky One, that will benefit the local electric cooperative customers. Blue Sky One is located on a 23-acre site north of Taos near the Río Grande Gorge. The array consists of 5,280 photovoltaic panels mounted on a single-axis tracking system. The tracking array, in concert with the high desert climate, ensures maximum solar exposure without loss from shading. This project commenced commercial operations in September 2012.

Darden Headquarters

Kenyon Energy constructed and developed this large-scale rooftop solar project at Darden Restaurants’ Headquarters in Orlando, FL. At the time of commencing commercial operation in April 2012, this project was the largest privately owned solar array in Florida. The PPA is structured to ensure that over its life, solar power will generate significant savings for Darden Restaurants. This project commenced commercial operations in April 2012.

Shippensburg Wastewater Plant

Kenyon Energy was chosen to develop this large-scale solar project for the Shippensburg Wastewater Plant in Shippensburg, PA. The PPA is structured to ensure that over its 20-year life, solar power is price competitive with all other fuel sources and will generate savings of approximately $1.4 million. This project commenced commercial operations in December 2011.

Adams City Schools

Kenyon Energy constructed and developed this large-scale rooftop solar project across nine Adams City School sites throughout Commerce City, CO. The PPA is structured to ensure that over its life, solar power will generate significant savings for the Adams City School District. This project commenced commercial operations from September 2010 to January 2011.

Nazareth Area School District

Kenyon Energy developed this large-scale solar project on two sites (Nazareth Middle School and Nazareth Area Intermediate School) in Nazareth, PA. The PPA is structured to ensure that over its life, solar power is price competitive with all other fuel sources and will generate significant savings for Nazareth School District. This project commenced commercial operations from August 2011 to December 2011.
